- Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to prepare schematic designs, design development, and construction documents.
- Work closely with the Director of Architecture, Project Managers, architects, contractors, and consultants.
- Produce and implement design and construction documents, packages, and presentations.
- Handle design problems and demonstrate a high degree of drafting ability with project organization experience.
- Coordinate, communicate, and solve problems within the project team.
- Manage production of up to 4-8 projects at a time, varying in size and complexity.
- Anticipate and resolve potential construction challenges.
- Interface with and manage consultants on RFIs, review proposals and contracts, and review plans and specifications for coordination and compliance with design intent.
- Develop ideas that result in improvements to existing methods, products, or services.
- Associate's degree with coursework in drafting/design is a plus.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Architecture, Structural, or a related field preferred.
- Technical proficiency in building construction, techniques, and materials.
- Understanding of design, materials, and construction.
- Skilled knowledge of 2D and 3D (Revit) AutoCAD software for architectural or structural design, rendering, detailing, and project management purposes.
- Working knowledge of basic project management principles and time management as it relates to design budgets.
- Strong ability to design within stringent budgets and schedules.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to convey the intent of a design graphically and verbally.
- Ability to apply common sense to solve problems and make decisions in non-standard situations.
- Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
