Job Description

What you will be doing :

• Support the Engineering Manager in providing engineering services to various departments.
• Perform mechanical designs of Mohawks new products accessories and customization based on direction from the Engineering Manager.
• Enhance and revise product designs focusing on part standardization simplification for manufacturing and cost reduction.
• Develop product documentation and technical specifications.
• Test products and support organizational compliance with testing and certifying organizations.
• Complete and document analytical stress analyses.
• Utilize 3D CAD tools and perform FEA structural simulation and analysis in the Autodesk Inventor suite.
• Provide expertise in controls PLC programming and automation.
• Research and identify the mechanics performance and functional requirements of products.
• Partner with Purchasing and Production departments for design improvements to reduce costs and improve product quality and performance.
• Collaborate with sales and other functions on new product development and customization projects.
• Conduct product NRTL inspections lift testing and device calibrations.
• Provide oversight for planning related to lift certifications.
• Identify and adhere to regulatory requirements affecting assigned projects or products.
• Act as a backup to the Engineering Manager for all ALI requirements and participate in ALI Committee Meetings.
• Maintain awareness of current technology related to Mohawk activities.
• Handle MRP data entry and drawing revisions.
• Resolve Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) by investigating problems and implementing appropriate changes.
