Job Type : Full Time Location : Washington, D. C, Washington Pay : Excellent Job Description What You Will Be Doing :
Review initial disclosures and conduct interviews with inventors to develop disclosures further.
Draft patent application specifications.
Prosecute patent applications, including responding to USPTO office actions and conducting examiner interviews.
Communicate with clients about prosecution strategies (English communication is sufficient).
This position is fully remote, with a preference for candidates located in the DC-Maryland-Virginia area.
Experience You Will Need :
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
Completed coursework in semiconductor physics, circuit design, and computer language programming.
Juris Doctor (JD) from a U.S. law school.
Licensed attorney in at least one U.S. state.
Licensed patent attorney before the USPTO.
At least two years of experience in patent prosecution, specifically in drafting specifications and responding to office actions in the semiconductor and computer science fields.
Experience in discussing and developing invention disclosures directly with inventors.
Legal status to work in the U.S.; H1B sponsorship available.
