Job Description
What you will be doing :
Review and analyze previous tax returns and financial documents to identify missing or incomplete information.
Utilize tax software (Lacerte) to prepare complex business and individual tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065.
Calculate taxes owed or refunds due, consulting tax law publications and resources for guidance on complex or unusual situations.
Provide proactive tax advice and recommendations to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and compliance improvements.
Present completed tax returns to clients, ensuring they understand the results and answering any questions.
Stay current with changes in tax law and regulations by reading professional literature, attending seminars, and participating in training courses.
Collaborate with other team members, including CPAs and staff, to review and finalize tax returns.
Experience you will need :
Minimum of 3 years of experience in preparing individual and business tax returns.
In-depth knowledge of tax preparation for Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Adobe Acrobat.
Experience with Lacerte tax software (preferred).
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to multitask, manage multiple client files, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
