Job Summary:
The School is seeking multiple dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with special needs in a classroom setting. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff members to provide tailored assistance, ensuring that each student can access the curriculum and achieve their educational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist special education teachers in delivering instructional support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of certified staff.
• Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students to reinforce learning concepts.
• Assist with classroom management, including behavior management strategies.
• Support students with daily activities, including personal care, mobility, and communication, as needed.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and support staff.
• Prepare instructional materials and adapt resources to meet the specific needs of students.
• Supervise students during non-classroom activities such as lunch, recess, and field trips.
• Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s degree or higher in education or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with children, preferably in a special education setting.
• Knowledge of special education practices and principles is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Patience, flexibility, and a passion for supporting students with special needs.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and assisting students with physical needs.
• Capability to maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm throughout the school day.
