BIW/DIW Engineer
Responsibilities
1. Able to handle projects related to Design of Development of Body Structure (BIW/DIW) from Concept development to SOP milestone.
2. Development of master sections, Packaging and feasibility studies.
3. CAD delivery of the sheet metal as per project milestone delivery targets.
4. Should possess Good technical skills on sheet metal maunfacturing, & Body Assembly processes.
5. Good knowledge on GD&T – Sheet metal Tolerancing, DFA & DFM.
6. Collaborate with Project Lead/ Manufacturing/Supplier Engineering teams for design evolution ensuring feasibility.
7. Hands on Experience working on PLM tools – Teamcenter/ENOVIA and part release knowledge.
8. Basic understanding of structural analysis and CAE tools/delivery.
9. Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including BOM, drawings, specifications, and design change logs.
10. Optimize designs for weight reduction, cost efficiency, and manufacturability without compromising structural integrity & CAE targets.
11. Possess Problem solving knowledge and provide Design solution based on CAE assessments.
12. Effective Communication with all stake holders for design convergence
