Data Governance Business Analyst - Collibra

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Governance Business Analyst to join our team and support our digital transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams on a Collibra configuration and implementation project.

The role has two components:

Responsibilities

• For a client engagement:
  • Facilitate the development of data governance business requirements - both process and standards
  • Document requirements
  • Work with Solution Architect and Sr. Collibra Consultants to outline Collibra capabilities and customization options
  • Walk client through solution options and finalize design approach
  • Work with Collibra developers to implement configuration, workflow, and integration solution
  • Work with Testing Team to outline UAT requirements
  • Demo final solution to cilent
  • Support training, as needed.

• For Expleo:
  • Network and work as part of multi-disciplinary teams, including Operations, Sales and Client Partners
  • Identify opportunities for business development with the client
  • Comply with Expleo governance related to sharing client knowledge and relationship management, reporting, raising issues, as well as capturing learning and case studies for clients
  • Support the Sales team, contribute to bid responses
  • Share your knowledge and experience with other team members
  • Volunteer for Business Solutions Team practice development e.g.: develop a new proposition, create and update Business Solutions service documentation, run a Lunch ‘n Learn
  • Mentor others, support team success and motivate others to keep morale and performance high

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
• Collibra certification desired

Essential Skills

• Collibra configuration and workflow customization skills
• Strong understanding of Data Governance principles and processes.
• Proficiency in business analysis techniques and methodologies, including requirement gathering, process mapping, and solution design.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends and patterns.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data sets.
• Knowledge of digital transformation concepts, technologies, and trends is preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the business and will be able to demonstrate diplomacy and be a trusted advisor of the business, but comfortable challenging & negotiating where needed.
• Knoweldge of using requirement gathering tools such as Jira, Miroboard, Quality Center with an understanding of both agile & waterfall project delivery methodologies.
• Eliciting and managing requirements
• Process modelling
• High level data modelling
• Agile and waterfall SDLC frameworks, roles, responsibilities and ceremonies
• Problem investigation and operational excellence
• Advanced MS Excel ability and working knowledge of MS PowerPoint, MS Visio (or similar process modelling tool) and MS Word
• Self-management, the ability to plan and organise your work to align with the client’s plan or milestone dates, by setting quantified goals and working to defined standards

Experience

• 2-3 years Collibra experience (certification desired) with multiple implementations
• Business Analyst in Data Governance domain, understanding business workflows
• Consulting background, able to lead the client in developing sound business requirements
• Experience with programming languages for Data Analysis. Desirable: Python, SQL or R.
• Knowledge in business analysis methodologies and has awareness of new and emerging technologies and developments.
• Leading, mentoring and training Data Analysts/BAs
• Experience in supporting team success and motivating others to keep morale and performance high.
• Good self-management. Can set and work to quantified goals and standards. Delivers by being aware of and considering the commercial impacts.
