- Basic Data Skills & Tools:
- Good at writing code, especially in Python (very common for data work on GCP). Knowing Scala or Java is a plus.
- Able to write and understand complex database queries, especially for BigQuery (GCP's data warehouse).
- Understands how to take data from different places, clean it up, and put it where it needs to go.
- Knows different ways to structure data in the data lake and related systems.
- Can set up ways to make sure the data is correct and reliable.
