Nestled amongst three mountain peaks in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Peaks of Otter Lodge offers a tranquil spot on Abbott Lake for guests to enjoy breathtaking views. Located in Bedford, Virginia the Lodge provides a variety of ways to experience the scenic beauty and heritage of the southern Appalachian region. Guests can enjoy delicious food and drinks during their stay at the Lodge. We also offer retail services throughout the area.
This is a part time, seasonal position (April - October)
This position will provide timely and efficient administrative support services, including accounting support, to the Lodge Staff.

- Perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as answering telephones, completing forms in accordance with company policies and providing support to other departments as determined by the GM
- Responsible for timely input of all invoices into system
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Maintain continuity of work operations by documenting and communicating needed actions to management, discovering irregularities and determining continuing needs
- Complete administrative projects, as assigned, accurately and on time
- Assist with project development and planning to ensure more efficient service and organization of the office
- Support other departments as needed
Position Requirements:
- Must be self- motivated with the desire to perform at the highest professional and ethical standards
- Must respond well to a changing work environment and able to perform at the highest level with minimal supervision
- Must have strong analytical and problem resolution skills with the ability to proactively recommend solutions
- Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office and familiarity with POS system
- Excellent customer service and people skills
- Must be extremely organized with strong attention to details
- Be a positive team player with a “can-do” attitude
Knowledge and Experience:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 1 – 2 years Administrative support experience
- National Park concession experience preferred
