Job Title: Daycare and Preschool Teachers Assistant and Lead Teachers
Job Description:
Our well-established Child Care center is seeking an experienced and passionate Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in early childhood education and have a genuine love for working with young children. Our Teachers will be responsible for providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment for our students, implementing age-appropriate curriculum, and maintaining open communication with parents.
Job Responsibilities:
1.Assist Lead in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote children's social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
2. Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy learning environment for children, including cleaning and disinfecting toys, surfaces, and facilities.
3. Supervise children during activities, indoors and outdoors, ensuring their safety and well-being.
4. Maintain open communication with parents, including daily updates and progress reports.
5. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills and stay current on best practices.
Qualifications for Assistant Teacher at Explorations Community Preschool:.
1. Minimum of 1 year experience in early childhood education as a Teacher Aide.
2. Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
4. Ability to obtain or maintain CPR/First Aid certification and complete a background check.
5. Ability to get up and down off of the floor, change diapers, and lift up to 50 lbs.
6. Ability to work a 40 hour work week and attend staff meetings and workshops outside of regular work hours.
7. Ability to follow simple instructions.
Qualifications of a Lead Teacher
1. All of the above.
2. A CDA and/or degree in Early Childhood Education.
3. Strong organizational skills.
