Our team is looking for a Gelcoater experienced with spraying/painting to help bring joy to families by applying gelcoat to our world class pools. This position will be based out of our Marion, South Carolina Manufacturing Facility.

As a Gelcoater with Explore Industries, you will be responsible for the application of specified gel coat color to swimming pool molds by utilizing a spray gun, working night shift Sunday – Thursday.

Additionally, there are other essential responsibilities of a Gelcoater role which include, but are not limited to:

• Executing the daily production schedule.
• Staging molds as needed, and preparing them to be sprayed by cleaning, waxing, checking, and assuring the molds’ best condition.
• Applying proper gelcoat in accordance with part specification, proper mil thickness, uniform spray pattern, catalyzation ratio, pressure, etc.
• Performing routine gelcoat equipment maintenance.
• Servicing spray guns, pumps, hoses, etc. and all other equipment related to gel coat department.

Required Qualifications (We would like our talented Gelcoater to have at least these minimum skills & experience)

• Experience with gel coating, auto body repair or fiberglass experience is preferred.
• Ability to pass PFT and respirator fit testing
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 45 pounds.
• Willing to climb up to 10’ on fiberglass swimming pool molds.
• Requires repetitive bending, stooping, kneeling, and shoulder/upper arm movements.
