Job Description
Jellystone Campground is seeking a highly motivated and organized Manager to oversee the daily operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. This role requires a dedicated leader who can take complete ownership of the campground, provide detailed organization, and create comprehensive onboarding manuals for staff. The ideal candidate will be the face of the property, representing the campground to guests, staff, and various divisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of Jellystone Campground, ensuring all areas are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Develop, implement, and maintain detailed organizational systems to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Create and manage comprehensive onboarding manuals for all staff members to ensure consistent training and performance standards.
- Coordinate with different divisions (guest services, aquatics, maintenance, housekeeping, activities, etc.) to ensure seamless operations and excellent guest service.
- Be the primary point of contact for guests, addressing concerns, providing information, and ensuring a memorable stay.
Financial Management:
- Report weekly financial performance to Mert, the owner, including labor, revenue, expenses, and occupancy rates.
- Propose and justify all purchases and capital expenditures to the owner, ensuring cost-effective and necessary investments.
- Manage the campground budget, monitor financial performance, and implement strategies to achieve financial goals.
- Manage the daily labor expenditure based on demand and weather, optimizing staffing levels to ensure cost efficiency without compromising service quality.
Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise campground staff, ensuring a high level of performance and guest satisfaction.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and professional growth.
Guest Relations:
- Ensure an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high standards of service and addressing any issues promptly.
- Develop and implement guest satisfaction initiatives to enhance the overall experience and encourage repeat visits.
- Actively engage with guests to gather feedback and make improvements based on their suggestions.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for inspections, permits, and licenses.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect guests and staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in campground management or a similar hospitality role.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to take complete ownership of the property.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and the owner.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in using campground management software and other relevant technology.
- Ability to create detailed onboarding manuals and training programs for staff.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for providing outstanding guest service and creating a memorable camping experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
