What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Intern (Summer Internship) position at Explorer Pipeline?
We are looking for a summer accounting intern who will work out of our Tulsa, OK office Tuesday – Thursday and remotely on Monday’s and Friday’s. Successful candidates will be enrolled in an accredited college, technical school, or university and will have completed their junior year by this summer.
The Accounting Intern focus will mainly be in our Accounting Department and will have an opportunity to be directly involved in numerous projects.
Activities include:
- Validating policies and procedures for tasks and controls within the department
- Records maintenance
-adding meta data to existing documents
-scanning, organizing, and validating records according to our retention policy
- Accounts payable
- Vendor qualification – banking validation
- Power Accounting/Reconciliation with Purchase Card
- Warehouse inventory reconciliations
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful intern will have:
-completed their junior year by this summer (degree should be in Accounting)
-be self-motivated
-high level of verbal and written communication skills
-focus on time and resource management
-have solid computer and software skills
-must have own housing accommodation in the Tulsa area
-must have WIFI access for remote work
-must have own housing allocation in the Tulsa or surrounding area
