Job Description

ID3 Group is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Project Manager. The ideal candidate will have production experience as well as strong work plan and production schedule development and progress oversight skills. He/She will be expected to prepare and present progress updates to appropriate management channels on a regular basis, ensuring production timelines are met and projects stay on budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee projects from inception to close.
  • Communicate project information and manage work and information flow through purchasing, engineering, fabrication, and installation.
  • Develop and monitor production timelines with benchmarks.
  • Use project management best practices to ensure that each assigned project is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Participate in kick-off meetings, create work orders, and create materials requisitions.
  • Track, produce, and report change orders.
  • Continually monitor and report job progress.
  • Assess, identify, and report risks to project success.
  • Review and close projects upon completion.

  • Work with diverse personalities in sales, design, engineering, production, distribution, administration, and construction while managing costs, time requirements, and customer expectations.

  • Self-disciplined with a solid work ethic.
  • Bright, intuitive, and highly adept at conceptual thinking; pragmatic and able to put concepts into action.

Essential Knowledge And Experience

  • Proficiency in standard office software applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook).
  • Knowledge of industry fabrication methods; carpentry, metalwork, paint production, tension fabric, graphic production, and other techniques.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of planning systems and project management best practices.

Work Environment

  • The Project Manager primarily operates from an office environment with a dedicated workspace equipped with a computer, phone, and relevant project management software.
  • The Project Manager may frequently visit the fabrication floor to oversee projects, communicate with the fabrication team, and inspect progress. The fabrication floor can be noisy and dusty, requiring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) like safety goggles and ear protection.
  • The Project Manager frequently engages in meetings with cross-functional teams, clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders, either in-person or virtually.
  • Depending on the scope of projects, the Project Manager may occasionally need to travel to visit client sites, attend conferences, or meet with vendors.

Physical Demands

  • Project Managers often work extended hours, especially during critical project phases or tight deadlines.
  • A significant portion of the Project Manager's time is spent working at a desk, conducting meetings, and using a computer.
  • During fabrication floor visits or meetings, the Project Manager may need to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • While not typically engaged in heavy lifting, the Project Manager might occasionally need to handle paperwork, equipment, or small objects during their duties.
  • The job demands good visual acuity for reviewing project plans, documents, and blueprints. The Project Manager should also be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively during meetings and discussions.
  • The Project Manager operates in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects running concurrently.
  • The role requires the ability to think critically and solve problems efficiently, as unexpected challenges and changes may arise during projects.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for collaborating with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
