Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Human Resources Administrator to support HR operations across four companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR processes and procedures, with at least five years of experience in a manufacturing environment. This role requires expertise in recruiting support, benefits administration, 401(k) management, employee relations, training, and auditing. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting Support:
- Assist with job postings, candidate screening, and scheduling interviews.
- Coordinate pre-employment processes, including background checks and onboarding.
Benefits Administration:
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, 401(k) plans, and other company offerings.
- Provide support during open enrollment periods and address employee inquiries regarding benefits.
401(k) Administration:
- Ensure timely enrollment, contributions, and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with third-party administrators for plan audits and reporting.
Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution.
- Support disciplinary actions, investigations, and documentation in compliance with company policies.
Training and Development:
- Organize and track employee training programs, including compliance training.
- Assist in developing and maintaining training materials and schedules.
Auditing:
- Conduct self-audits and ensure HR processes comply with company policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records for audits and reporting purposes.
HR Processes and Procedures:
- Maintain and update HR policies and procedures as needed.
- Ensure consistent application of HR processes across all companies.
Filing and Records Management:
- Maintain organized and secure employee files, both digital and physical.
- Ensure proper retention and disposal of records in compliance with legal standards.
General HR Support:
- Provide administrative support for various HR projects and initiatives.
- Handle miscellaneous tasks such as report generation, correspondence, and data entry.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes and procedures, including recruiting, benefits, employee relations, and compliance.
- Experience conducting HR audits and self-audits.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional work ethic and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in HR software, ADP, Microsoft Office Suite and Smart Sheets a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with labor laws and regulations across multiple states.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position that may require occasional travel between company locations. The ability to adapt and excel in a dynamic and collaborative environment is essential.
