About the Role:
As a Medical Assistant at ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with our healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include conducting medical history intake, measuring vital signs, performing basic lab tests, administering medications, and preparing exam rooms. In addition, you will provide patient education and complete administrative tasks accurately.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and clinical externship (Required)
- Licenses & Certifications:
- CMA, RMA, or CCMA Certification preferred
- CPR Certification (Required)
- Work Experience:
- Minimum one year of clinical experience in a physicians office or hospital (preferred)
- Skills:
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Superior customer service skills
- A high level of professionalism
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts, stand/walk for long periods, and lift 25 lbs.
- Must have scheduling flexibility, including weekends and holidays
