Responsibilities and Requirements:
As a Medical Assistant at ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers, your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality patient care to our community. You will perform thorough medical history intake, measure vital signs, conduct basic lab tests, administer medications, prepare exam rooms, and provide patient education. Additionally, you will accurately complete administrative tasks, including checklists, inventory, and written logs.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and clinical externship (Required)
- Licenses & Certifications:
- CMA, RMA, or CCMA Certification preferred
- CPR Certification (Required)
- Work Experience:
- Minimum one year of clinical experience in a physicians office or hospital (preferred)
- Skills:
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Superior customer service skills
- A high level of professionalism
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts, stand/walk for long periods, and lift 25 lbs.
- Must have scheduling flexibility, including weekends and holidays
