Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to designated locations while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Operate various types of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and refrigerated trailers.
- Load and unload cargo securely and efficiently, ensuring proper handling of all materials.
- Navigate assigned routes while adhering to delivery schedules and maintaining accurate records of deliveries.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in safe operating condition.
- Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or delays.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Familiarity with manual transmission driving is preferred.
- Experience operating tanker trucks, roll-off trucks, or flatbed trucks is a plus.
- Previous experience in route driving or as a delivery driver is beneficial.
- Ability to handle various types of cargo safely, including hazardous materials if applicable.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.
- Class A CDL License with hazmat
