Description
Backup and Recovery Operations
- Responsible for the review, analysis, design, modification, monitoring of backup performance, and handling of major events/incidents.
- Responding to restore requests in a timely manner.
- Researching new technologies, processes/procedures for storage and backup/recovery management.
- Day-to-day management of Cohesive environment: monitoring volume usage, capacity planning, backup jobs.
- Ensuring compliance with backup and recovery policies.
- Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving backup issues.
Systems Engineering/Administration
- 10 years of experience in the administration of Windows Server environments (cloud and on-premises). Linux administration/knowledge is a plus.
- Power/Network capacity planning experience.
- Solid understanding of network/data cabling.
- Ability to analyze and isolate issues within a large multi-tenant hybrid infrastructure environment while still maintaining a view of the big picture.
- Security focused with an emphasis on maintaining stability within the environment.
- Ability to maintain and create detailed documentation.
- Tracking and management of hardware platform maintenance agreement.
- Organize and maintain data center racks, wiring, documentation.
- Previous successful experience managing and maintaining Active Directory/Entra.
- Participation in on-call rotation.
- Ability to identify and prioritize tasks across multiple projects.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean physical environment within the data center(s). Maintaining and abiding by defined standards.
