Key Responsibilities
- Daily Transaction Tracking: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including bank deposits, payments, and adjustments.
- Accounts Payable Management: Assist in the processing of vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments. Verify the accuracy of invoices, match them with purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies as necessary.
- Payroll Support: Provide assistance with payroll processing, including maintaining accurate payroll records and ensuring timely disbursement of wages. Support the payroll team in reconciling hours worked, overtime, and other adjustments.
- Data Entry: Enter financial data into accounting software, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded for reporting purposes.
- Invoice Management: Generate and send invoices to clients, monitor outstanding balances, and assist in collections of past-due accounts.
- Expense Reporting: Compile and report on company expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines and flagging any irregularities.
- Filing & Document Management: Organize and file financial documents, ensuring that all records are properly stored and accessible for audits or reference.
- Communication with Supervisors: Report any discrepancies, issues, or concerns regarding financial transactions, payroll, or accounts payable to supervisors for resolution.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, payroll processes, and accounts payable procedures.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Excel, etc.) is preferred.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
