CNC Lathe and Mill Programmer
- Create CNC programs for 2 Mori Seiki Lathes, one with a barfeeder and a CMXV Mill using conversational or offline programming, ex. Mastercam
- Create documentation for CNC processes - tool lists, set-up sheets, diagrams,
- Ensure Set-up sheets are kept up to date
- Create process review via simulation as necessary
- Provide programming and training support to machinists
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Functional knowledge of offline CAM programs, ex Mastercam
- Functional knowledge of calipers, tape measures, and measuring tools
- Functional knowledge of types of cutting tools
- Functional knowledge of tooling like face mills, end mills, index drills, reamers,
- Functional knowledge of cutter selection, speeds, feeds, chip load. Functional
- Functional knowledge of blueprint reading.
- Functional knowledge of layout plans, engineering plans, drawings, and work
- Ability to determine the program order of operations, types of tools, types of tools
- Functional knowledge of machining different metal types
- Working knowledge of CNC lathes and vertical machining centers
