What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian/Groundskeeper/Maintenance- 1st shift position at Express Employment International?
The Custodian/Groundskeeper/Maintenance position will perform custodial work in the office, industrial areas, other building interiors as well as the exterior company grounds. This role is part of the maintenance department and will perform a variety of maintenance tasks.

- Follow established work procedures and perform work assignments as required to meet all Starrett Tru-Stone safety, quality, and production goals.
- Performs cleaning duties such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing and trash removal in the office areas, restrooms, lunchroom, and production areas utilizing the equipment provided.
- Occasional use of ladder or lift to dust and wash walls and light fixtures.
- Move boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas.
- Ground Maintenance-lawn care and remove snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
- May drive company vehicle to run errands.
- Supports the maintenance department with a variety of preventative maintenance tasks.
- Supports Operational Excellence and other continuous improvement programs as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be safety minded.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with interruptions.
- Ability to process and priorities work quickly.
- Ability to operate equipment such as forklift, scissor lift, motorized cart.
- Problem solving skills.
- Custodial experience.
- Maintenance experience.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Able to pass a criminal background check
