Diesel Mechanic

Express Employment is in search of good people to fill a Diesel Mechanic position at our clients’ location in Canton, OH.

Responsibilities

• Repair diesel engines; injector cups and overheads; emission related issues; transmission and other problems as identified.
• Initiate diagnosis of the vehicle's problem(s).
• Drive vehicle into the bay, hook up the computer and diagnose the problem area(s). All other duties as assigned
• Requirements
• Diesel Engine repair and rare for rebuild.
• Clutches and brakes.
• Brakes on trailers.
• Head gaskets, air bags, a few transmissions.
• VPS systems.
• Welding is a PLUS.
• Valid Ohio driver's license with the ability to be insured by the Company's motor vehicle insurance carrier.
• Be able to use diagnosing and scanning equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issue
• Class A-CDL is preferred
• 2-5 years diesel tech experience
• Being able to adjust valves and head gaskets
• Use Air Compressors
• DOT inspections
• Diesel Mechanic is a must
• Class B cdl is preferred but not required
• Clutch and brake experience
  
  

Hours are Monday – Friday 8am-4:30pm $20-40 based on experience.
