Express Employment is looking for someone to fill the role of a mechanics assistant which will turn to a full mechanic spot of their own.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Fabricate and modify equipment as needed
- Maintain power equipment, including forklifts and cranes
- Repair machinery and perform facility wide maintenance
- Support safety, environments and equipment programs
- Troubleshoot, repair and conduct preventative maintenance on machinery
- Inspect fire systems, water systems and cranes
- Design, build and modify equipment to meet evolving processes
- Collaborate with the plant manager on projects
- Maintain reliable and consistent attendance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics and electronics
- Experience with diesel engines, motors and forklifts
- Ability to read blueprints and use basic computer programs
- Proficiency in operating hand tools, drill presses and plant equipment
- Monday through Friday, 6:30am until done (8-10 hour shifts)
- Some weekends as needed
- Pay starts at $20/hr, with potential for higher pay based on experience and interview evaluation.
