Horizontal Boring Mill Operator
- Make parts to specifications using a lathe, milling machine, shaper, and grinder
- Measure, examine, and test completed units to find any defects and ensure
- Set up, adjust, and operate specialized and advanced machine tools
- Align and secure machine holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
- Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock to display placement of cuts
- Observe operating machines/equipment to diagnose malfunctions and make
- Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment. Dismantle machines/
- Set controls to regulate machining, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or
- Fit and assemble parts to make or repair tool machines
- Set up and operate metalworking, brazing, heat-treating, welding, and cutting
