Materials Manager

Position Summary: The Materials Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating all activities within the Materials department, including receiving, shipping, shop floor operations, planning, and management of all employees within the department.

Job Details:

• Salary: $80,000
• Job Type: Full-time
• Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Lead the materials team to ensure alignment and efficiency.
• Manage staff scheduling and resource allocation.
• Develop and implement departmental policies and guidelines.
• Oversee the department's budget and control costs.
• Monitor and achieve material performance metrics.
• Conduct root cause analysis to reduce inventory discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with ISO procedures and safety protocols.
• Maintain and monitor seasonal equipment.
  
  

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with preference for leadership or management roles.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems is a plus, but strong ability to manage budgets, inventory, and materials is crucial.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and numerical skills for monitoring performance metrics, conducting root cause analysis, and managing departmental budgets.
• Effective communication and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead a team, set clear goals, provide direction, and drive continuous improvement.
