Job Title: Welder/Fabricator – Agriculture Equipment

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our local fabrication shop specializing in agricultural equipment for the almond industry. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in MIG and Stick welding, metal fabrication, and the operation of various shop tools. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the production of high-quality agricultural machinery used across the industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Welding: Perform MIG and Stick welding to fabricate and assemble agricultural equipment, with a focus on precision and quality.
• Fabrication & Layout: Lay hulls, measure and layout degrees, and drill/lay out holes for accurate component fitment.
• Tool Operation: Operate essential machinery, including punch presses, drill presses, band saws, grinders, and sanders to prepare materials for fabrication.
• Assembly: Assist with light assembly work, ensuring all parts and components are correctly aligned and secured.
• Sheet Metal Fabrication: Operate a shear and brake to cut and form metal sheets to specifications.
• Forklift Operation: Forklift experience is a plus for moving materials and finished parts around the shop efficiently.
• Ironworking (Preferred): Experience with ironworking techniques, particularly related to structural fabrication, is an asset.
  
  

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in welding and metal fabrication.
• Strong proficiency in MIG and Stick welding, with the ability to lay hulls, layout degrees, and drill holes.
• Experience operating fabrication equipment such as punch presses, drill presses, band saws, grinders, sanders, shears, and brakes.
• Forklift operation experience is beneficial.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have your own set of hand tools; all power tools will be provided.
• Prior experience in agricultural equipment fabrication or ironworking is a plus.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials and equipment.
• Willingness to work in a shop environment with occasional exposure to loud noises, heat, and heavy machinery.
  
  

M-F 7am to 330pm

$19 or more depending on experience.
