Job Title : Job Shop Mechanic
Hours : 6 : 30-3pm Monday- Friday
Pay : $26-$28 / hr
Position Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanic / Maintenance candidate with a passion for tackling challenging projects. From assembling gear boxes to intricate ladder systems with electric motors and winches, the ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role requires a clear understanding of facility maintenance alongside mechanical expertise. The successful candidate will excel at following instructions, collaborating within a team, interpreting drawings, and meeting production expectations and deadlines.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Assemble, build, repair, and maintain manufactured parts, equipment, and facility infrastructure.
- Work under moderate supervision while demonstrating self-starting capabilities.
- Provide assistance to production areas as needed.
- Ability to interpret and execute tasks based on written and verbal instructions, including drawings and work orders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve non-routine problems that may arise during projects.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area, and ensure a safe working environment.
- Accurately record time against assigned work orders and tasks.
- Conduct quality checks on parts and equipment, reporting deficiencies and recommending corrective actions to supervisors.
- Safely operate shop equipment, including overhead cranes, forklifts, saws, etc.
