Express Employment LAX is looking for an Accounting Analyst for a large manufacturer and distributor of building supplies for a variety of industries, including water, sewer, industrial, and electrical sectors.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy accounting professional who is motivated by innovation and excited by the opportunity to implement new accounting systems and processes.
Pay Rate : $90K to $115K / yr
Responsibilities of the Accounting Analyst :
- Procure and implement a new accounting system for the company
- Design accounting policies and procedures for management approval
- Maintain clear and accurate accounting records
- Process and account for cash payments and receipts
- Responsible for month-end closing
- Effectively leverage technology to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Perform cost analysis, identify and investigate irregularities / abnormalities and report to management
- Prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP and the accounting policies established by the companies
- Prepare state and local tax compliance and handle tax audits
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure balances are correct
- Review accounts to understand and resolve unusual items and variances
- Provide support and necessary documents for annual external audit
