Machine Operator
Full-time, Evaluation Hire
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm
Compensation: $17/hr or more depending on experience
Location: Meriden, CT
Responsibilities:
- Operates simple in-house machines on the production line.
- Conducts quality checks on the products.
- Documents applicable information regarding product quality and machine performance.
- Maintains simple machines and performs general trouble shooting if needed.
- Sets up and calibrates machines, as necessary.
- Reporting safety hazards within the work environment.
- Maintains a clean and uncluttered work area.
Qualifications:
- Applies basic skills and techniques to complete routine tasks within assigned area
- Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
- Works on basic and routine assignments
- Works within clearly defined Standard Operating Procedures and/or scientific methods
- Adheres to all quality guidelines
- Works under close supervision
- All work is reviewed for accuracy
- Any deviations from the norm are approved by the supervisor before proceeding
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent manual dexterity and ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail, precision, and analytical skills
- Ability to detect, isolate, and identify irregularities in equipment and product
- Digital literacy keyboarding skills, touch screens
