Our client is a unique metal manufacturing company that’s looking for an experienced CNC Set up Operator and Toolroom Associate to join their team. This exciting opportunity is Monday to Friday, from 6am – 2pm, with the potential for career growth and advancement. CNC Set Up Operator and Toolroom Associate Job Summary:
Set up and operate various CNC equipment for the mechanical cutting of die blocks for production. Assist in the operation of other specialty cutting CNC equipment and general toolroom tasks. Understand and apply the quality standards expected of a cut die, including clean up and testing.
CNC Set Up Operator and Toolroom Associate Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor machines to ensure efficient production
- Be able to understand time to cut dies, and schedule in a manner that is the most efficient for optimization of the department.
- Learn other areas of the toolroom to be of an added resource
- Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on equipment
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and consistency
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
CNC Set Up Operator and Toolroom Associate Qualifications:
- CNC Degree or Certification preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in machine operating is required
- Knowledge of machines and tools necessary for production, including but not limited to computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines, tooling, fixtures, die blocks, micrometers, gauges, ect.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
