Position : Business Readiness Officer / Program Manager
Location : Texarkana, TX
Hours : Monday- Friday 8am-5pm with some after hours events
Salary : $65,000
Benefits : 25% Health Insurance paid by employer, 3% retirement match. Mileage reimbursement, 15 days of vacation per year, receive up to 12 paid sick days each year
Job Summary
The Business Readiness Officer / Workforce Development Manager is responsible for fostering economic growth by supporting local business, promoting workforce development, and managing the implementation of the ACT WorkKeys NCRC program. This role involves engaging with business to understand their needs, coordinating workforce development initiative, and overseeing the NCRS program to enhance the region’s workforce readiness.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain relationships with local business to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities for growth
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and design and implement strategies that support business readiness, retention and expansion efforts in the Texarkana region
- Coordinate workforce development programs and initiatives to enhance the kills and competencies of the local workers
- Manage the ACT WorkKeys NCRC program, including promoting the benefits of the certification, facilitation assessments, and assisting individuals in obtaining their NCRC
- Provide guidance and support to partnering manufacturers school districts, and colleges to improve career readiness through the WorkKeys NCRC program
- Analyze data and trends related to workforce development, business readiness / retention, and the NCRC program to inform decision- making and program improvement
- Organize and participate in outreach activities, workshops, and events to promote workforce development and the NCRC program within the community
- Collaborate with educational institutions, government agencies, and community organizations to align workforce development efforts and support economic growth
- Monitor program outcomes and evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives
