Previous Lumber Experience is Preferred

Pay : $20.00 / hour

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7 : 00 am - 3 : 30 pm

Job Description :

Operate large forklifts to load lumber pallets onto the delivery trucks
Load and unload lumber with lift truck
Moving large loads on lumber onto delivery trucks
Put together lumber packages
Maneuver heavy objects
Use two-way radio
Inspect equipment before and during operation
Read and understand instruments on equipment, follow safety procedures, read and understand paperwork from shipping and receiving

Requirements :

Must be proficient on a lift truck and 6 months minimum lift truck experience

Ability to perform 4-function math : addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

Previous lumber experience is preferred

Minimum age 20 to apply

High degree of attention required

High School diploma or equivalent is required

Physical Requirements :

Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck

Frequently lift up to 50 pounds

Adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time

Good sense of balance

Good eye-hand-foot coordination

Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights

Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season

Will be working in and outdoors
