Express Employment Professionals of Everett is hiring a Planner / Scheduler for a manufacturing company in greater Monroe, WA. This is a direct hire opportunity on day shift. Starting pay is $27 - $39 per hour.
The Manufacturing Planner / Scheduler is responsible for scheduling materials, manpower, and machines for production operations. This role involves preparing daily and weekly schedules for assigned product lines or departments and coordinating with the overall master schedule. The individual will communicate regularly with customer service, purchasing, and production staff to adjust schedules based on machine or material availability and staffing. This position operates under limited supervision.
Responsibilities :
- Demand Forecasting Collaboration : Work with sales and management to understand demand forecasts and align production schedules with customer needs.
- Buffer Level Management : Adjust inventory buffer levels based on demand and supply variability.
- Analysis and Reporting : Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to provide insights into operational performance.
- Cross-Functional Coordination : Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics to ensure smooth operations.
- Change Management : Manage changes in production plans due to unforeseen events and communicate these changes effectively.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives : Participate in initiatives aimed at improving processes and reducing waste.
- Risk Management : Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans.
- Supplier Collaboration : Ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve supply issues.
- Training and Development : Provide training on DDMRP principles and inventory management practices.
- Product Review : Address concerns related to an item's routing or bill of materials.
- Company Policy : Meet work schedule and attendance expectations and perform within the job's physical and environmental demands.
