Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced forklift operator to join our production and distribution team. As a material handler on the 2nd shift, you will be responsible for operating a sit-down propane forklift within the manufacturing facility, inspecting product loads for accuracy, and safely moving them around the warehouse or facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a sit-down propane forklift to transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
- Inspect product loads for accuracy and move them safely around the warehouse or facility.
- Move controls to drive vehicles and transport materials between designated areas.
- Load and unload materials from pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure them for transport.
- Carefully load materials into the machine staging area.
Requirements:
- Prior experience operating a forklift for at least 12 months is required.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control is essential.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- A valid driver's license is also required.
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is necessary.
