About the Position : Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking a Sr. Staff Accountant to join an established and well-respected construction company in Denver. This role is heavily focused on AP and project billing, making prior experience in construction accounting essential. Job Responsibilities :
- Oversee full-cycle AP, including processing trade and project invoices, coding credit card transactions, and vendor setup
- Manage progress and contract billings, ensuring accurate and timely submissions
- Work closely with other department heads to incorporate accurate cost tracking
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts related to project costs and accounts payable
- Perform weekly check runs and process miscellaneous payments as needed
- Assist with month-end closing, financial reporting, and job cost allocations
- Monitor and respond to vendor and subcontractor inquiries regarding billing and payments
