Field Service Technician

The Field Service Technician position is responsible for performing assigned and routine visual inspections and other specified testing to ensure that flooring installations at customer locations meet industry and Express Standards.  The successful candidate will have significant experience in the flooring industry, experience working with sub-contractors, excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities: 

• Work with internal services team as well as subcontractors to ensure installations are completed in a timely manner


• Perform job-site inspections to ensure standards are being met for flooring installation


• Evaluate installations for warranty claims


• Coordinate and schedule work directly with sub-vendors to complete open issues.


• Perform quality control inspections and ensure all identified punch list items are completed either by the subcontractor


• Complete property inspections, deliver materials, Close out project deficiency lists


• Communicate issues and problems that may delay projects


• Responsible for ensuring all punch list items are completed and days to completion are achieved.


• Ensure all workplace safety standards and practices are upheld.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of different types of flooring materials


• Proficiency in measuring and cutting flooring accurately


• Attention to detail and ability to identify and correct installation errors


• Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve flooring issues


• Good communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and contractors


• Physical stamina and ability to work in physically demanding conditions


• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to flooring installation


• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently


• Strong organizational skills to plan and coordinate flooring projects


• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in flooring installation

Education/ Certifications:

• High School Graduate


• Individuals with SFR and multi-unit maintenance experience desired

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at a time

Travel Requirements:

Will require frequent travel throughout the local area to visit job sites. Will be exposed to the normal weather elements of the market. Will be exposed to a varying level of construction sites.

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.

Compensation Range: $57,000 USD - $65,000 USD
