We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist to support with operations for the Southwest and South-Central U.S Markets. This role will work closely with the Senior Purchaser to ensure smooth purchasing processes, vendor coordination, and cost-effective purchasing strategies. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, an analytical mindset, is an effective communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has the ability see how purchasing decisions impact multiple departments and overall business goals.
Major Duties and Responsibilities :
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate and assist with purchasing materials and supplies according to company needs.
- Maintain and update purchase orders and supplier records.
- Work with vendors to maintain and adjust purchasing strategies as needed.
- Address and resolve supplier issues, such as delays or discrepancies.
- Work interdepartmentally with other teams to resolve issues as needed.
- Maintains Express Flooring's product catalog for stock and special-order products
- Updates pricing records in NetSuite
- Maintains Express Flooring Qualified Vendor / Supplier List
- Monitors inventory levels for stock products and supplies
- Places purchase orders for assigned product lines or warehouse locations
- Monitors Purchase Orders from creation and placement to delivery and receipt
- Follows up with vendors to resolve variances in confirmations and shipping
- Works closely with Accounts Payable to resolve variances in pricing / invoices
- Audits purchase order confirmations for accuracy and completeness
- Follows up on all outstanding purchase orders
- Provides product support for operations and sales organizations
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills :
Education
Bachelor's Degree required with concentration in business, finance, or supply chain.
Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.
Compensation Range
70,000—$80,000 USD
