Production Controller/Expeditor

Summary

Arranges the production schedule priority based on the due date of sales order/work order in Manex System. Knows all the production processes, monitors the status of work orders or sales orders, and closes kits against shipping schedule all the time. Conference with PM, ME, and QE for document completion, expedite requirements approval, rework/deviation validation, and RMA arrangement. Participates in the kick-off processes. Reviews and discussions of the production schedule with the Production Manager daily for shipping products on time including overtime requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

o Able to collaborate with inter-department; production, engineering, and project managers.

o Oversee daily production operations, including schedule commitments and planning.

o Reviews production schedules and shortage report and works with department leaders and expeditors to keep track of the shortage materials, if any, to prevent delays in production caused by material issues.

o Reporting on non-conformance issues and creating NCMR.

o Manage material inventory, keep track of material usage, and request buyers for inventory planning.

o Manage the status of all released work orders/sale orders in production.

o Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Engineering departments to move parts from MRB and resolve any holds. This may also include coordinating the split of work orders and adding rework operations to work orders when necessary.

o Maintain production schedules for ongoing projects, assign materials and operators to reduce labor costs, boost productivity, and prevent any potential delays that can impact on the on-time delivery.

o Ensure interdepartmental communication for improvement.

o coordination for robust and productive operations.

o Identify bottlenecks or potential delays in the production process and propose solutions to improve efficiency and meet deadlines.

o Conduct regular inspections of production areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Qualification Requirements

Experience in PCBA manufacturing.

Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, bilingual in Vietnamese and English.

Attention to details.

Team collaboration skills.

Excellent in time management skills, and

Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Skills

o Language – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work documents, and assembly procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to employees of the organization.

o Mathematics – Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Education

Vocational or 2 years college diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience

2 to 3 years related experience or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Authority

o Has the authority to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, and quality system.

o Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system. To initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
