Job Title : Non-Emergency Transportation Driver

Reports to : Site Supervisor

Shift : Monday-Friday, Split 6am-10am and 1pm-5pm

Must reside in the East St. Louis area

Since 1996, we've provided compassionate, safe, and timely transport. Our goal is to transport any passenger - no matter what disabilities or challenges they may face. We take great pride in transporting our passengers to their desired destination.

Who We Serve : EMT serves organizations in the St. Louis, Missouri metro and surrounding areas, including neighboring areas in Illinois. These organizations include school districts, hospitals, doctor's offices, and more. We also transport individuals and families to and from appointments or simply when they need a ride.

Position Summary

Join our dedicated team of professionals in providing compassionate and reliable transportation for individuals in need of non-emergency transportation services. With the assistance of a monitor, you will be transporting school-aged children, some with mental disabilities, to and from school. Job Responsibilities

Safely transport passengers to and from their destinations in a timely manner.

Conduct vehicle inspections before and after each shift to ensure safe operation; report any maintenance or repair needs.

Maintain accurate transport records, including times and passenger information, adhering to all HIPAA regulations.

Follow all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle and adhere to predefined routes and schedules.

Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding patient pick-up and drop-off.

Ensure the vehicle is clean and sanitized.

Handle any emergency situations or passenger needs during transport in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Participate in ongoing training and certification programs required by the employer or state regulations.

Collaborate with Student Monitor to ensure safe and compassionate transportation of passengers.

Requirements :

Valid Class E driver's license with a clean driving record

High school diploma or equivalent

CPR and First Aid certification preferred

Ability to pass a physical examination and drug screening

Familiarity with GPS and navigation systems

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Flexible schedule

Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety protocols

Experience in healthcare or patient transport (preferred)

Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Punctuality and reliability in attending scheduled shifts

Capacity to work calmly under pressure and in emergency situations

Patience and empathy towards patients with mental or physical disabilities

Ability to document transport details accurately and submit reports as required

Compensation details : 15-20 Hourly Wage
