- Drivers will pick you up : Start and stop your day from your own door.
- Shift options : M-F 6 : 00 a.m. to 10 : 00 a.m. or Noon to 4 : 00 p.m.

Who We Serve :
EMT serves organizations in the St. Louis, Missouri metro and surrounding areas, including neighboring areas in Illinois, as well as Cumberland, Maryland. These organizations include school districts, hospitals, doctor's offices, and more. We also transport individuals and families to and from appointments or simply when they need a ride.
Position Summary : This position is specifically designed to foster a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for individuals with developmental disabilities primarily school-aged minors and the elderly. As a Monitor, you will be vital in ensuring that our clients receive the utmost care and attention while being transported to and from their destination. Requirements :
Job Responsibilities of the Passenger Monitor :
Ensure each passenger is properly secured with lap and shoulder belts.Assist passengers with developmental disabilities with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including operating wheelchair lifts and securing mobility devices as necessary.Communicate effectively with passengers, respecting their individual needs, to create a supportive and nurturing environment.Provide individualized attention to passengers, adapting communication and intervention techniques as appropriate.Maintain accurate records of passenger behavior and incidents during transit.Respond to emergencies or unexpected situations calmly and efficiently, following established protocols.Participate in training and development sessions to stay current with best practices in transportation safety.Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the vehicle's interior.Requirements
Experience :
1-2 years working with Individuals with DisabilitiesEducation :
High school diploma or equivalent requiredAbilities :
Ability to pass a fingerprint background check and DOT 10-panel drug screening.Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on safety, respect, compassionate service and timeliness.Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR / AED certification, or willingness to obtain certification within 60 days of hire.Must have the physical ability to assist passengers with mobility needs, including the physical ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.Previous knowledge of the functionality of special equipment, such as wheelchair lifts and securement systems, preferred.Patience and understanding when working with people with a wide range of disabilities.Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding client information.Familiarity with safety protocols and evacuation proceduresCapability to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors in a calm and safe manner.Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules.Dependable attendance and punctualityAbility to work cooperatively with drivers to ensure passenger safety.
