Cardiac Technician will provide bedside electrocardiograms (EKG/ECG), holter monitors and Dexa Scans to all Express Mobile Diagnostic Services, LLC (Express) patients. These patients can reside in long-term care facilities, correctional facilities, resident homes, personal care homes etc. Will complete diagnostic exams in a professional and timely manner. Cardiac Tech. will be provided with all overhead including Company Vehicle, Diagnostic Equipment, Fuel/Gas Card and all other necessary tools to complete exams. Cardiac Technician will interact with our Call Center Dispatch Department when necessary to report cases that are completed and will get exams from the “board” on our electronic system, Rapid Radiology where orders are housed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- The tech. will call and schedule appointment visits, documenting all communication within the company software systems, along with any follow up information sought/obtained.
- Job requires tech to travel in a company vehicle to multiple locations; this entails the need for tech to monitor vehicle condition, fuel consumption, necessary “upkeep” (oil changes, tire rotations etc.) and communicate all vehicle activities with any other staff using the vehicle through company provided vehicle logs.
- Job requires tech to use several different pieces of equipment, all of which require care/upkeep and general maintenance.
- Electrocardiograms (EKG/ECG) involve application of multiple electrode patches to patient body, inputting patient information, running machine application to receive electric printout of heart rhythm/function and uploading/emailing/copying results to ordering providers.
- Holter monitors involve electrode application, obtaining a small patient history, explanation of the 24 hours of being “hooked up” to the monitor and the diary patient has to record any “episodes” that happen during that time frame. Tech must either coordinate with another employee or arrange to go back themselves once 24-hour period is complete to remove and retrieve device. Holter information is uploaded at the office via a desktop computer and sent off for reading.
- Bone densitometer scans (DEXA) are obtained with a portable sonographic densitometer, small patient history obtained, results are uploaded/emailed/faxed appropriately, same as EKG’s.
- Flexible to working any shift necessary including some weekends, evenings when necessary.
- Follow company protocols with extreme attention to detail.
- Respond to duties as directed by Area Supervisor and/or corporate personnel team members.

Education and Specifications
- Medical Assistance training preferred but not required
- Physical stamina/ ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Drug/Alcohol Free/ Neg. Drug screening
- Clean Criminal Background History
