Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for performing basic and advanced car maintenance and repair tasks, inspecting vehicles for potential problems, and troubleshooting issues to ensure vehicle performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply in-depth automotive repair knowledge to diagnose and repair complex issues
- Provide exceptional service to customers, ensuring their vehicles are serviced to the highest standards
- Perform skilled mechanical work, analyzing and diagnosing problems to ensure accurate repairs
- Inspect, replace, and/or repair defective parts, performing preventative maintenance on automobiles
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology, continuously learning new technical information and techniques
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with our company's vision, mission, and core values in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and suppliers
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in automotive service, automotive mechanic, and/or engine diagnostic
- ASE Certification preferred, but not required
- Must have Technician Tools
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to operate and drive vehicles
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screen
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Top-notch customer service skills with a desire to build long-term trust and relationships with our customers
- Willingness to work Saturdays
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, and bending
- At times, exerting lbs of force occasionally and/or lbs of force frequently and/or greater than 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects
- Requires working at a production rate pace, entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials
