Our client, a leader in engineering and manufacturing custom synthetic ropes, slings, and hardware, is recruiting a skilled Setup Technician to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an environment where innovation and quality are key.
As a Set-Up Technician you would be responsible for ensuring the equipment is set up in compliance with production requirements prior to production start.
Key Responsibilities:
- Change twister gears and inspect machine prior to production start
- Perform AMs on equipment such as braiders prior to production start
- Assist in other maintenance projects as required
- Understand and comply with HSSE policies and standards. This includes reporting, correcting safety hazards, providing improvement suggestions and intervening to stop processes, procedures or people that are creating an HSSE risk.
- Understand and comply with Quality Management System policies and objectives in all tasks assigned.
- Intervene and report any defect in material, product, machinery, practice, or event which could affect quality or product performance.
- Suspend or halt any procedure or process that affects safety or quality until a resolution is determined.
- Follow instructions and manage tasks to meet deadlines and production needs in your area and support/execute all other tasks outside their role as required.
Requirements:
- Effective oral and written communication
- Basic computer skills (training for internal systems will be provided)
- 1 – 3 years of light to medium industrial experience preferred with general knowledge in mechanical, electrical, basic hand tool, and computer skills
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday from 7:00AM to 3:30PM
