The Position: Express-Tek is seeking a Fiber Splicer for our Fredericksburg, Virginia office. This is a full-time position that reports directly to the office. Extended hours may be required to support our customer base.
Candidate must have solid transportation and be willing to undergo a background check and drug testing.

Pay Range:
Key Responsibilities:
· Install fiber optic cables
· Test fiber optic cables for continuity and performance
· Splice fiber optic cables to create seamless connections between two fibers
· Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of fiber optic networks
· Inspect and clean connectors as needed
Skills:
· Fiber Optic Installation
· Fiber Optic Splicing
· Fiber Optic Testing
· Fiber Optic Troubleshooting
· Fiber Splicer Requirements
· Ability to safely and efficiently operate and maintain fiber splicing equipment
· Ability to read and interpret splicing diagrams and drawings
· Knowledge of construction and maintenance of fiber communications systems

· Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience splicing and testing Fiber Optics
- High School diploma or GED
