The Position: We are seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will manage inventory, ensure efficient workflows, maintain compliance with safety standards, and implement innovative strategies to optimize warehouse performance. This position also includes responsibility for managing and maintaining the company’s vehicle fleet.

The Warehouse Manager will operate in a dynamic warehouse environment that requires occasional physical activity, such as lifting items up to 100 pounds. This role demands strong attention to detail, adaptability, and a proactive approach to operational and fleet-related challenges.

Candidate must have solid transportation and be willing to undergo a background check and drug testing.

The Location(s): Fredericksburg, VA

Pay Range: $55k-65k

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management:

• Develop, implement, and refine warehouse procedures and protocols to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Integrate a digital receiving and checkout system to seamlessly synchronize with QuickBooks or other inventory systems.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and security regulations, including OSHA standards.
• Design and maintain an optimal warehouse layout to improve workflow and accessibility.
• Oversee the receiving, storing, and distribution of materials and products.
• Manage and maintain the company vehicle fleet, including scheduling maintenance, tracking usage, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Conduct monthly vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are equipped with necessary inventory for technician readiness.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers for vehicle repairs and maintenance to minimize downtime.

Inventory Control:

• Manage the procurement of materials for project managers to meet project timelines.
• Conduct regular inventory audits, identify and reconcile discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.
• Oversee and maintain inventory levels in technician vehicles to ensure operational readiness.
• Implement and maintain an asset tracking system to monitor equipment and materials.
• Generate and manage stock forecasts to prevent shortages or overstock.

Operational Efficiency:

• Analyze warehouse and fleet performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvement strategies.
• Develop and enforce procedures to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
• Leverage technology to optimize workflows and improve data accuracy.

Vendor and Supplier Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and quality assurance.
• Negotiate project pricing, to maximize cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
• Monitor vendor performance and resolve any issues proactively.

Reporting and Communication:

• Prepare and present detailed reports on inventory status, fleet operations, safety compliance, and financial performance.
• Collaborate with other departments to address inventory needs, resolve logistical challenges, and support organizational goals.
• Ensure all stakeholders are informed about changes to warehouse or fleet operations.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED
• 5 years of experience in warehouse operations and/or fleet management.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software, with experience integrating digital solutions like QuickBooks.
• Strong knowledge of fleet management practices and vehicle maintenance scheduling.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
