Expressions Floral is a full-service florist and wedding/event company with two locations in the Gilroy/Hollister area. We are a preferred vendor throughout the Bay Area and are currently looking for an experienced Floral Designer to join our team.

Are you a passionate and experienced floral designer with a flair for creating stunning event arrangements? We’re looking for a Floral Designer / Manager to join our dynamic team and bring extraordinary floral visions to life!

As our Manager/ Designer you will oversee the creative and logistical aspects of floral design for weddings, corporate events, and special occasions. You will work closely with clients, event planners, and our design team to craft breathtaking floral installations and arrangements that exceed expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Design and create floral arrangements for various occasions, including weddings, events, and retail sales.
• Lead and mentor a small team of florists to maintain high design standards and efficiency.
• Oversee floral inventory, source fresh flowers and supplies, and manage vendor relationships.
• Develop and update product offerings for our in-house website.
• Set pricing structures for floral arrangements while ensuring profitability.
• Take and fulfill incoming customer orders with attention to detail and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inspiring workspace.
• Establish recipes based on client’s vision.
• Create orders for flowers and supplies based on recipes.
• Manage budgets, timelines, and event logistics.
• Ensure flawless setup and breakdown of floral displays.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a florist or floral designer, preferably in a leadership role.
• 3 years of experience in event floral design.
• Exceptional creativity with an eye for detail.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high-quality designs.
• Experience with inventory management and vendor relations.
• Comfortable with customer interactions and order management.
• Knowledge of floral care, trends, and techniques.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to copy a design/photo.
• Must be able to create high-end event flowers, funeral orders, unique, modern, custom designs for everyday orders, standing orders, and wedding/event designs.
• Strong fresh flower design experience is a MUST. Understanding of floral design techniques, color theory and trendd is a plus. We are a high-end design company, and we are not looking to train at this time.
• Fast-paced work environment; speed without compromising design is critical.
• Wedding, Event, and Funeral experience is important.
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean record.
