Overall Purpose of the Job
Work under general supervision within a Workshop environment carrying out maintenance, diagnoses and repairs to a range of equipment. Undertake the preparation of equipment to Company standards in a safe manner for use within an operational environment.
Key Activities and Accountabilities
- Under some supervision performing maintenance functions such as repairs, assembles, & disassemble of equipment in a safe and professional manner
- Able to test such equipment and maintain testing equipment
- Certified to operate commercial equipment such as forklift & overhead crane
- Ensures shop cleanliness and housekeeping
- The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required
- Ability to operate torque machine under supervision
- Pickup and delivery of equipment and parts to and from outside vendors and other locations for purchase and/or repair
- Recognize and communicate the need for shop tools and equipment
- Responsible for the cleaning of equipment utilizing parts cleaner and or steam cleaner
- Identify and communicate the need for parts for inventory
- Maintain a clean and safe work area. Maintain paperwork documentation of work performed (Routers) in a complete and timely manner on a daily/job basis
- The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required. Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required
- Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations
- Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and guidelines
- Promotes and takes an active part in the quality improvement process Works as directed.
Job Knowledge and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent from a state accredited institution
- Previous oilfield experience
- Knowledge of rental tools; basic knowledge of company computer systems
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required
- Basic time-management skills
- The ability to communicate well with others
- Willingness to train others
- Dependable
- Valid driver’s license
