- Support clients in home community care settings, fostering independence while ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Uphold resident rights by respecting privacy and dignity at all times.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote emotional well-being and companionship.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses, to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual needs.
- Document care provided and any observations regarding client status as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field such as home health or group home settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient care techniques, including assisting with mobility and personal care tasks.
- Familiarity with resident rights and the ability to advocate for clients effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Basic cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals that meet dietary needs.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
