Aerospace Sales Manager
Responsibilities include but are not limited to; the sale and support of aerospace electronics and avionics products to the customers requiring comprehensive technical product and platform/market knowledge. Requires the ability to make judgments involving complex aerospace electronic and avionics systems to capture new and ongoing customers. Responsible for the overall Growth, Profit and Loss for assigned product lines, including developing and meeting pricing strategies and targets, and lead all contractual and business negotiations to support the business.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement the sales action plan required to meet and exceed bookings goals
- Identify key customer contacts and help Extant build relationships across the customer organization
- Provide accurate forecasting for short- and long-term bookings and maintain a sales funnel
- Deliver pricing recommendations and ensure the right business conditions are in place before submitting bids and accepting awards
- Review contracts and ensure internal flow down of requirements, including meeting with stakeholders to ensure timely execution
- Troubleshoot and remedy customer problems within established guidelines and escalate when needed
- Communicate and present critical data, market analysis, and go-to-market recommendations to all levels of management
- Track record of sales accomplishments, preferably in aerospace electronics and avionics for commercial and military platforms
- Experience leading defense sales with prime contractors and government agencies.
- Excel capability for modeling pricing scenarios for bids
- Proficiency in networking and the ability to build lasting customer relationships
- Ability to travel as required, up to 35% of the time throughout the Fiscal Year
- Directly interface with customers, including product presentations, email and phone correspondence, and other means of communication
- Identify, solicit, and cultivate sales and upsell opportunities with customers, be accountable for achieving established sales revenue and growth goals
- Lead creation of well-organized and informative capabilities presentations, customer presentations, business proposals, and webinars
- Assist in collecting, compiling and presenting competitive intelligence internally
- Survey product markets to determine product revenue potential
- Responsible for the preparation of annual and monthly product forecasts quantity of revenue and bookings projections
- Be a passionate ambassador of all customers, current and new, and enthusiastically help customers with their needs and concerns, quickly
- Work with Business Development to develop and nurture a growing pipeline of business opportunities which are centered around product acquisitions and adoptions
- Designs, develops and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning (our specific “Adoption” process) through production/repair and end of life. Serves as the central resource with redesign, manufacturing, test, quality as the product(s) move to production.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university, prefer a technical discipline with a balance of business acumen
Minimum of 3 years experience
Desirable Qualifications
Sales and/or P&L experience in the avionics, aviation, or electronics industry
